As you may have already guessed, my philosophy when it comes to decor is play - see where your creativity takes you when not worried about decorating 'rules' dictated to you by some fashion mag.So why not toss a lamp shade on your head and have a blast with, well, your lamp shades?
I treat lamp shades just as I would any other accessory, be it a hat, scarf or big chunky necklace: change the accessory and you change the look.
Toss a small shade on a lamp whose original shade was huge; play with proportion, style and colour. You'll get a totally different look each time!
The great thing for a non DIY-er like me: there's minimal hardware and technical expertise involved - but there are a couple things to look out for ... coming tomorrow!
